Dr. Raelene (Rae) Crandall is an associate professor of fire science at the University of Florida IFAS School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences. Her research aims to understand the mechanisms by which fire disturbances influence plant population dynamics and cause resulting community patterns in plant species richness and composition in Forest ecosystems, and provides important insights to maintain healthy and resilient forests.
